Talamanca del Jarama is a town in Madrid with a lot to tell. Along the road that now begins, we will immerse ourselves in a journey through history: from Roman times, we will travel through time until the time when Muhamad I, emir of Córdoba, ordered to build the wall that surrounds the urban area. We will enter the XII and XIII centuries when we visit the church of San Juan Bautista and El Morabito, in the XVII century with the famous Cartuja - the scene of innumerable films-, and we will feel the swing of History when in the 19th century Talamanca changed its hands -from Guadalajara to Madrid- after the war of independence against the French.Already in the twentieth century the gaze of many film directors stops in Talamanca, as in any other town in Madrid. His Cartuja, his wall or the Roman bridge, obligatory stops of our route that now begins, have been scene of battles, conspiracies and loves in more than one hundred films of which we will know some of the most relevant. But not only its architecture is of special interest: riparian forests, poplar groves, fields, countryside and trails. Nature in Talamanca will also surprise us.All these places we will visit along a singular route, a film route.Lets start by going to the Plaza de la Constitución, where a curious building will powerfully call our attention.
